With a strong background in textile design and years of experience working in fashion, I translate my passion for colour into acrylic artworks characterised by bold hues and dynamic compositions. I draw inspiration from a vast collection of photographs taken on my travels around the globe and create pieces that showcase my unique vision of the colourful wonders of nature. In addition to brushes, my favourite utensils for applying acrylic paint to canvas and lately also to metal are dishwashing rags and sponges.

About Susanne Zieringer

Susanne Zieringer, born in Germany, has developed a deep passion for art from a young age, influenced by her family of art connoisseurs. She began her artistic journey by taking various art courses and later pursued her education at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld, initially focusing on art before switching to textile design and technology. This transition laid the groundwork for a successful 15-year career as a fashion scout, designer, and buyer. She earned a degree in photography, enhancing her artistic vision and professional expertise. Her journey took her through vibrant cities like London, Strasbourg, Singapore, Berlin, Paris, and Detroit, each adding unique influences to her work. To balance the demands of urban life, Susanne often sought inspiration in nature's colourful beauty. Currently living in Stuttgart, she is enthusiastic about channeling her passion for colour into expressive artworks that predominantly capture the vibrant beauty of nature. Although she has explored various artistic mediums, acrylic painting remains her true passion.

Animals like Sculptures painted in Acrylic on Metall

My new ANIMAL SERIES is painted on metal, steel or aluminum sheets, with the background left unpainted. On aluminum especially, this creates a reflective surface that mirrors the surroundings, giving each piece shifting ambient moods. The animals appear like sculptures emerging from the surface. The reflections change with light and environment, inviting interpretation. The viewer may even become part of the artwork, friend or enemy is left open. I also use AI to transform my paintings, adding new layers of meaning and combining them into projected videos for immersive experiences. The impact of static painting is amplified through AI-driven motion.
